When used in forward-facing mode, the Hauck Varioguard Combination Car Seat has 3 recline positions.

One of the most difficult decisions regarding car seats is knowing when to move your child from a rearward- to a forward-facing position. The hauck Varioguard, when used with IsoFix anchor points, can be used as a rearward-facing car seat for children up to 18 kg, approximately 4 years old, providing extra protection for your child for longer, and it can easily be changed to a forward facing car seat when you are ready.

For newborn babies, there is a removable padded insert in the seat which provides extra support in the head area and ensures your baby is sitting in the correct position. As your child grows the insert can be removed, and head protection area is height-adjustable (7 positions).

When used with a 3-point seatbelt, the Varioguard can be used as a rearward facing car seat for children up to 13 kg, approximately 18 months old, and then as a forward-facing car seat for children up to 18 kg.

To improve safety, the Varioguard incorporates a memory foam layer around the head region, which provides improved impact and shock absorption and produces excellent results in frontal and side impacts. The Varioguard has a 5-point harness and energy-absorbing strap pads which guarantee the highest level of security, reducing stress on your child’s chest and pelvic area.
